Why this blog?

While building Site Distiller, we noticed:

1. AI agent visit patterns look nothing like traditional crawlers — they’re closer to “users” but still not users.
2. SEO is being reshaped — tools like ChatGPT and Perplexity are changing how content gets discovered.
3. Data privacy requirements are making traditional analytics tools feel out of step with the times.

We want to capture these observations and lessons, so more people can make better product decisions in the AI era.
